PS3 SIXAXIS
  
     The SIXAXIS is the official PS3 Playstation 3 wireless controller. These controllers were sold in addition to the console but they were sold at the same time so if you really to trade in those wired controlled for new technology then you could. Of course you had to pay extra for this new wave of the future. The wireless controller come out around $49.00. These wireless controllers were also released in Japan for about $40.00 and in Canada for about $59.00.

The coolest things about this controller is that the shape is a banana or a boomerang shape. The new controller has some new features, one of the best ones is that it can work through Bluetooth. It also has a USB mini B port that can be used to connect the USB cable for internal game battery charging and for wired information. The controller will work for up to 30 hours on a full charge. You can have 7 other controllers working at the same time on the same console.

A huge feature of this controller and why it is named SIXAXIS, is that it has the ability to sense the rotational orientation and a translation acceleration, all along a 3 dimensional axis, that means it is providing 6 degrees of freedom. This caused a little sensitivity when Nintendo had announced their controller had motion sensing as well. But P3, continued on and had no problems legally with that accusation.
